CELL COVERAGE

Vail has excellent cell connectivity throughout the main village areas of Vail Village, Lionshead and very good to excellent coverage throughout the town’s commercial areas. Both Verizon and AT&T are heavily invested here, and T-Mobile has implemented numerous antennas, although they are a newer arrival.

The mountain has decent coverage, but it is a separate entity from the town, and connectivity up there is unfortunately not an area that is within the control of the town of vail. It’s forest service land, fully managed and operated by the Vail Resorts Corporation, so is a bit different. Coverage is good most places, although like anywhere in the mountains it can vary from one location to another.

One of the keys that makes the town so well-connected is the public wi-fi system. Vail Free WiFi is the network name which is available throughout the villages. It does require you to share your email address to connect, but you can opt out of newsletters and other communications that are offered initially.

THUR: 5:00pm - 6:15pm Public Art & Snowsports Museum Tour - Tour Vail Village for approximately 30 minutes discussing the public art and visit the Colorado Snowsports Museum where Lamont Joseph White’s painting is on view. This is a family event. Note: Dress warm for an evening walk. Meet @ the Vail Village Welcome Center on the top level of the parking structure. A free in town bus will drop you off at the steps of the structure – Covered Bridge stop.
