       Michael Bronson Culver – “World Cup Bound”

Bronson is a committed member of the 2022-2023 NBS A Team. Bronson is a member of the
NBS Eastern Region – Snow Burners of NYC Ski Club.

Bronson is an Alpine skier who has been skiing for 14 years and competing for 9 years. Bronson
is also a high performing student at Stratton Mountain School (a Vermont based snow sports
academy). He has been on the School’s High Honor Roll since the beginning of High School. He
is a dedicated student athlete who has successful balanced the demands of both school and ski
racing. In the off-season, Bronson enjoys soccer, mountain biking, road biking and fishing.
Bronson’s long-term goal is representing the United States in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. The
FIS Alpine Ski World Cup is the top international circuit with events across Europe, Asia, and
North America for alpine competition and concludes with the World Cup Finals in March of
each year.

During the 2021-2022 season Bronson participated in four camps:
- USSA Copper Mountain Speed Camp- Copper Mountain, Colorado - 5 days
- Stratton Mountain School Fall Camp - Stubai, Austria - 14 days
- Stratton Mountain School GS Spring Camp – Copper Mountain, Colorado – 7 days
- Ciccarelli Golden Team Summer Camp in Les Deux Alpes, France – 20 days

Bronson’s 2021-2022 top three sanctioned competition race results were:
- 1st Place U16 Vermont State Slalom
- 1st Place SYNC Vermont Cup GS Sugarbush
- 1st Place VARA Open GS Smugglers Notch

For 2021-2022, Bronson competed in the following division, state, or other regional/national
championships:
- Vermont States
   o Super G – 8th Place
   o Slalom – 1st Place
   o Overall – 3rd Place

- Eastern Regionals
   o Super G – 17 th Place
   o Giant Slalom – 12 th Place

In October 2022, Bronson traveled to Landgraaf, Netherlands and Peer, Belgium to train Slalom
in indoor skiing facilities. Later that same month, he went to Hintertux, Austria to ski on one of
the most popular training glaciers in the world. While in Austria, Bronson continued his training
with a focus on the Giant Slalom. Bronson is on track to be on snow for 150 days in 2022.

For the upcoming 2022-2023 ski season, Bronson’s three goals are to:
- Race into the lower 60s FIS Points
- Top 10 at U18 Nationals
- Complete in his first NorAm races
