Chief Executive Officer

 

The Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI) has announced a search for the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Based in Lakewood, CO, PSIA-AASI is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit education association founded in 1961 to promote the sports of skiing and snowboarding through professional instruction. With over 32,000 members within its eight US regions, PSIA-AASI is the world’s largest organization dedicated to skiing and snowboarding. The organization establishes certification standards for snowsports instructors and develops education materials to be used as the core components of instructor training.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead an organization that has created a strong operation built around excellence in governance and strategic planning. PSIA-AASI has consistently implemented critical programs that have fortified the association and its Regional organizations as it continues to grow and provide clear value to members. The new CEO will lead the association as it strategically and intentionally lays a path toward more efficient structures, systems, and solutions in service of the membership.

Fellowship

 

The goal of Gould’s fellowship program is to inspire and provide experience in the field of education. Fellows must posses an enthusiasm for learning, appreciate adolescent development, and a commitment to diversity, equity and belonging. In year one, the fellow program explores the dynamic intersection of adolescent development in a residential setting. Fellows engage in a variety of programs based on their skills, qualifications and interests. Gould is uniquely positioned to support advanced level experiential education that leverages our place-based assets, arts programs, athletic programs or advanced exposure to admissions, marketing and communication. In year two and three, fellows begin graduate studies with tuition support.

Fellow’s strengths are paired with program needs.  Individual abilities are matched with experienced mentors and guides in the teaching, admissions or coaching domain.
• Engage in the Fellow’s Cohort
• Co-teach, coach or lead in an appropriate area
• Co-advise up to 8 students
• Lead or co-lead athletic/co-curricular 2 of 3 seasons or year round club leadership
• Support residential/community and professional life • Matriculate at a higher ed institution or certificate program, year 2
