Welcome To The NBS Western Region's Web Site
The National Brotherhood of Snowsports (NBS) is one of the largest organized ski councils in the country. A non-profit organization, the NBS was formed in 1974 by 13 ski clubs across the country and now boasts a membership of over 60 clubs representing 43 cities with a membership of over 3,000 skiers, snowboarders, and non-skiers. One of the organization's primary goals has been to support African American youth with goals of becoming a member of the US Ski and Olympic Ski Teams.
As an affiliate of the NBS, the Western Region is one of four regions. The other three Regions are Eastern, Rocky Mountain, and Mid-West. Our region is comprised of 13 independent ski clubs who collaborate to support the goals of the NBS. This site provides a history of our regions upcoming events, lists of our member ski clubs and highlights our youth program.
The Western Region's mission is "To ensure the survival and growth of member clubs and to promote unity and harmony through fun and education."
